Controlled demolition

“Controlled demolition” is an abstract series of wall mounted plywood sculptures; it was inspired by my previous series “Chaos” and “Smoke” and the burning technique I developed for it.

Using the knowledge I gathered creating my two previous series, I took particular care to choose the pieces of wood that I thought would make the most interesting patterns once burned. I then added a black and white frame to make the burnied patterns stand out from the wall it would be hung from.
